Head Ball 2 is an Online PvP Multiplayer, Arcade Football Game. Where players compete against other players in order to gain more fans, unlock better Characters and become the champion.

Took part in design of player progression.

Designed bucketing system for Weekly Leagues.

Designed and balanced player stats.

Built & Maintained Calculation Tools for Live-Ops Team via Excel.

Worked with stakeholders in design of the game economy

Took part of tracking KPI values

Worked on design of competitive features such as Tournaments.

Tournament

Players can join a tournament during specific time periods. Tournaments consist 5 consecutive knock-out matches and players compete against other players that are close to their ELO rating and Player Strength.

Players can join tournaments multiple times and win multiple times as well.

Main design reasons behind the tournaments were:

  • Providing a short length competitive event and rewarding short term goals for players.

  • Make losing a match more frightening and winning one more rewarding.

 

Player of the Match

Player of the Match is a card game based of luck. Where players can get multiple rewards. Under every card there is a reward or a “Red Card”. Players can progress until the end untill they select a “Red Card”. “Red Card” is the fail condition of the game mode and if the players want to progress after a “Red Card” they need to spend in game currencies.

Player can leave any time by hitting the collect button but if a player gets a “Red Card” and chose not to pay in game currencies then they lose all of their winnings as well.

Each season of Player of the Match consists of different rewards and different “Red Card” chances which calculated by a design tool spesific for the game mode.

Main design reasons behind the Player of the Match were:

  • Providing a new monetization method for the game.

  • Providing a retention tool for the game with daily free join or progress chances.
